"I never thought that I would have anything to do with osteoporosis," said Ms Chan, an administrative staff member in her late thirties. Her doctor, however, thought her body mass index was low, which means she is underweight, and reminded her of the bone scan offered during CityU's Wellness March 2003. Launched in October 2002, the Buddies Scheme with Non-local Students is a year-long, tailor-made programme designed to introduce non-Hong Kong students to local culture and help them settle into their new environment.
