10名來自本地7間中學的校長和老師於5月14日到訪城大，參觀本校的電算服務中心、圖書館及創意媒體學院。訪問團由大學拓展部策劃，旨在加強與中學的合作與聯繫。
The theme of CityU's fifth annual cultural festival--Hands Across the Water--was chosen to reflect the many international cultures that were celebrated at the festival.

Concertgoers were treated to a fine evening of Mozart on 24 February as the City University Philharmonic Orchestra performed its annual concert at the Hong Kong Academy for the Performing Arts.
文康樂委員會將推出第五屆城大文化節。為期兩個月、節目豐富的文化節，今年以「江海同源」為主題，將於二月以「環球文化夜」大型表演作揭幕。
經過三年的試行計劃後，「學生交流基金」今年正式成立。預計這個廣受歡迎的計劃將使更多城大學生在學業以外進一步受惠。城市大學副校長﹙大學拓展﹚黃玉山教授表示，「讀萬卷書不如行萬里路。留學生獨特的學習經歷及生活體驗，對學生的成長極有裨益，我們應盡量為他們創造條件。」
In an effort to better understand the needs of today's students and to foster a deeper co-operative spirit with local secondary schools, CityU today welcomed five Hong Kong secondary school principals to the campus. Three of the visiting schools were also represented by three career masters.
