在未來一兩個月內，位於歌和老街的學生宿舍計劃第二期建造工程將按時完成，屆時為大學增添四幢新宿舍大樓，連同第一期的三幢計算在內，總數達七幢。
三百多名嘉賓、教職員及學生出席了1月16日舉行的香港城市大學學生宿舍命名典禮。宿舍第一座正式命名為「賽馬會敬賢堂」。
當第一期城大學生宿舍於今年8月落成啟用後，便將迎接第一批本科生入宿，標誌城大的校園生括將踏入新的里程。
