4月30日，在傑出教學獎牌匾揭幕儀式上，校長張信剛教授說：“牌匾將提醒我們：城大是教與學的中心。過去10年來，我們一直將教學質量作為城大的中心主題，沒有誰能比我們在此看到的這些名字更能體現這一精神。”牌匾上刻有自從1993年傑出教學獎建立以來所有獲獎教師的姓名，在牌匾遷入教學樓入口處之際，城大專門為其舉行了揭幕儀式。
