由電子工程學系許樹源講座教授所領導的研究小組，在電子鎮流器的研究上取得了重大突破，令電燈達到省電與護目的雙重成效。該項研究更於去年11月獲得美國的專利權。
Six outstanding engineering students, three each from the City University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, shared the honours at the 2002 IEEE Hong Kong Student Paper Contest awards.
