語文學部應用日語副文學士2002年畢業生鄧詩雅獲香港日本文化協會頒發為期兩年、總額達200萬日元的獎學金，前往日本長崎國際大學進修國際旅遊課程。
十七名修讀城大語文學部法文課程的學生成功通過3月29日舉行的法國教育部法文考試，成為首批通過這項考試的香港學生。
