Commemorative album recounts University achievements

Shirley Lam

What was life like in the old campus in Mongkok? What have been the University’s major milestones in the past two decades? And what does the future hold in store for us over the next 20 years?

On the occasion of the 20th birthday of the University, CityU staff, students and alumni recount past achievements and look forward to future challenges in a commemorative album, Celebrating 20 Years—University of a World City.

The 160-page book, printed in full colour, highlights the developments and successes of the University in education and research since 1984. The publication opens with a 16-page photo gallery and closes with a 10-page chronology that provides a colourful and concise overview of the University’s historical milestones, major achievements in academic research and teaching, the development of the campus, student life, stories from our graduates, and various outreach initiatives.

The book is divided into four sections: Education, Students and Alumni, Research, and Outreach & Academic Ties. In each part, CityU academics, administrators, students, and alumni discuss the University’s curriculum development, teaching and learning experiences, research accomplishments, contributions to society, and outreach activities -- locally, to the mainland and to the world.

The album is a great souvenir for visitors and friends of the University. Order forms have been sent to all departments and offices (please click here for the Table of Contents and Order Form).

Purchase a copy before 20 December to enjoy an exclusive 20% discount - HK$80 per copy. After that, the album will be available at the Cut Price Shop at HK$100 each. For enquiries, please contact Mr David So at 3442 6603.
