French Association generous donation

The French Section, Division of Language Studies received more than 120 books—easy-readings, comics, French classical and modern literature—from the Association pour la Diffusion Internationale Francophone de Livres, Ouvrages et Revues (ADIFLOR)

Created in 1985, the ADIFLOR, in partnership with the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Culture and French books Editors has already distributed more than 8 million books worldwide. The ADIFLOR aims to diffuse books, magazines, encyclopedias and dictionaries to universities, language centres, libraries or schools to develop their academic or cultural programmes. This is the first time the ADIFLOR makes a donation in Hong Kong or China.

David Santandreu Calonge, Lecturer and Coordinator of the French Section said the donation of the French Books was an important contribution to both the teaching and learning of French studies at CityU and he precised that the books would be put in Telford-Kowloon Bay Campus' Library.
