Raymond Li, Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader at the Division of Building Science and Technology in the College of Higher Vocational Studies, has been re-elected Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Building, Hong Kong (CIOBHK) for 2001-02.

This is the first time in the past 25 years that a local academic has been re-elected Chairman of the CIOBHK. The CIOB is one of the major professional qualifications that the College's Degree and Higher Diploma/Associate Degree building students strive for, and is one of the scholarship sponsors for the Degree/Sub-degree building students at CityU.

"I sincerely hope to continue promoting professional training for our CityU building students and graduates, and to exercise my leadership in this internationally recognized professional body to assist local industry, the HKSAR, as well as the mainland to construct quality buildings that are environmentally friendly and safe," said Mr Li.
