Stronger ties between CityU, Trinity College Dublin

A memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between City University of Hong Kong (CityU) and Trinity College Dublin, University of Dublin in Ireland will help foster academic exchanges and further develop the cooperative relationships.

The MOU, signed on 4 November, details a framework for collaboration in terms of student and academic exchange; scientific research collaboration; institutional publication exchange; and exploring teaching collaboration.

The MOU was signed by Professor Arthur Ellis, Provost of CityU, and Dr Patrick Prendergast, Provost and President of Trinity College Dublin.

The delegation of Trinity College Dublin included Dr Barry McMahon, Chief Physicist/Senior Clinical Lecturer (Clinical Medicine), Head of Department of Medical Physics & Clinical Engineering, Tallaght Hospital; Dr Lorna Carson, Director of Trinity Centre for Asian Studies; Ms Sinéad Ryan, Director of Internationalisation; Mr Simon Williams, Associate Director, Trinity Development & Alumni; and Ms Niamh Burke, International Partnerships Officer.

Professor Yan Hong, Dean of the College of Science & Engineering (CSE) of CityU, Professor Xie Min, Associate Dean (Internationalisation) of CSE, Professor Robert Li Kwok-yiu, Associate Dean (Education) of CSE, and Dr David Cheng Xing, Associate Vice-President (Global Services) also attended the signing ceremony.
