Technology transfer at CityU boosted by new Yangzhou linkage

Scientific and technological collaboration, and the transfer of technology, is the focus of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between City University of Hong Kong (CityU) and the Yangzhou International Technology Transfer Centre on 26 May.

The MOU was signed by Professor Lu Jian, Vice-President (Research and Technology), and Ms Yang Rong, Director of the Yangzhou Municipal Science and Technology Bureau.

The areas of collaboration include technology transfer, technology consultation, research and development cooperation, and organising exchange activities on a regular basis.

Guests from Yangzhou included Mr Xie Zhengyi, Secretary of the Yangzhou Municipal Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of Yangzhou Municipal People’s Congress, Mr Chen Yang, Member of the Municipal Committee and General Secretary of Yangzhou, Mr Kong Lingjun, Deputy Mayor of the Yangzhou Municipal Government, Mr Xia Zhengxiang, Director of the Yangzhou Municipal Bureau of Education, and Mr Yang Yuefeng, Deputy Director of the Yangzhou Industrial Technology Research Institute. Mr David Ai Chuan, Director of Knowledge Transfer at CityU, also attended the signing ceremony.

The Yangzhou delegation learnt about CityU’s research during a visit to the Centre of Super-Diamond and Advanced Films and State Key Laboratory of Millimeter Waves at CityU.
