A talented group of promising young Chinese artists offers a stimulating representation of the media art scene today through 40 fascinating new media artworks to be exhibited at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) beginning 24 March.

Titled “On the Road: Young Media Artists in China,” the exhibition will feature the works of 36 young artists selected from major contemporary art institutes and art organisations in mainland China and Hong Kong.

First held at the Guan Shanyue Art Museum in Shenzhen last November, the exhibition comes to CityU in an expanded version following extremely positive reviews.

Professor Maurice Benayoun, CityU’s School of Creative Media, and Curator of the Exhibition, and Dr Isabelle Jennifer Frank, Director of CityU Exhibition Gallery, will host the media preview on 22 March. Hong Kong artists Ms Carla Chan, Mr Joseph Chan, Ms Cheuk Wing-nam, Ms Vvzela Kook, Mr Keith Lam and Mr Kenny Wong and mainland artists Mr Zheng Da, Ms Lin Xin, Mr Song Gewen and Mr Zhang Haichao will meet and talk with the media after the preview.
