Honorary Awards Ceremony 2014

Dr Norman Leung Nai-pang, University Pro-Chancellor, will confer honorary doctorates on the following three prominent individuals at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) on 11 November:

 

l   Professor David D. Ho, founding Scientific Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center, and Irene Diamond Professor at The Rockefeller University – Honorary Doctor of Science;

l   Mr Raymond Or Ching-fai, Chairman and Chief Executive of China Strategic Holdings Limited – Honorary Doctor of Social Science; and

l   Mr Yu Kwok-chun, Chairman of the Yue Hwa Group and Chairman of Yue Hwa Chinese Products Emporium Limited – Honorary Doctor of Business Administration.

Mr Herman Hu Shao-ming, Council Chairman, and Professor Way Kuo, President, will attend the ceremony.

Time:   2:30pm (Please arrive before 2:15pm)

Venue: Chan Tai Ho Multi-purpose Hall, 5/F, Amenities Building, CityU

 

Media representatives are kindly requested to note the following when covering the ceremony:

 

1.      There will be two media zones inside the Hall. One of them will be at the back of the Hall, facing the centre of the stage. It can accommodate TV crews and photographers using tripods for recording and photography. The other is smaller, located on the right-hand side of the stage, and can only accommodate those using handheld video recorders and cameras. Media representatives are requested to stay in one of the designated areas until the end of the event and not move between the two zones during the ceremony.

2.      Telephoto lens is recommended when taking photos in the Hall.
