Li Yunxia’s works of paper cutting art have been frequently chosen as national gifts and collected by many heads of states, national leaders and museums. The Hong Kong Post Office also invited her to design stamps with paper cutting patterns for the 2013 “Year of Snake”.

Honoured throughout her career, she has made frequent visits to countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Malaysia and Brunei on cultural exchanges and exhibitions of the art of paper cutting. Her name is recorded in Who’s Who in the World, List of Chinese Folk Celebrities, Dictionary of Renowned Chinese Contemporary Calligraphists and Artists, Album on Chinese Contemporary Paper Cutting Artists, History of Chinese Folk Paper Cutting and other biographical directories.

Li Yunxia’s artworks reflect the rich tradition of Chinese folk art. With a pair of scissors and several pieces of coloured paper, she produces an impressive array of beautifully-crafted and lively shapes.
