City University of Hong Kong (CityU) will hold the foundation stone laying ceremony for its Multi-media Building on 26 March. The building, designed by renowned architect Mr Daniel Libeskind, is applauded for balancing function and inspiration while creating a striking landmark that will be a focal point for the development of creative media in Asia.

 

The ceremony will be officiated by Mr Michael Suen Ming-yeung, GBS, JP, Secretary for Education; Mr Michael V Stone, JP, Secretary-General of UGC; Mrs Dorothy Ma Chow Pui-fun, Deputy Secretary-General of UGC; Mr Chung Shui-ming, GBS, JP, Council Chairman of CityU; Professor Richard Ho Yan-ki, Acting President of CityU; and Professor Liu Zhiqiang, Acting Dean of School of Creative Media.
