Mr Val Chen Zili, a PhD student in the Department of Chinese, Translation and Linguistics at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) has been chosen by 2041, an international environmental organization, to represent Hong Kong on an Antarctic expedition entitled “Inspire Antarctic Expedition 5 – Leadership on the Edge Program” in February.
Teaming up with some 50 members around the world, Val will learn more about environment protection and develop his confidence and leadership skills.
Why is Val, a language student, interested in environmental issues? During the media session, Val will share his reasons and discuss what he hopes to gain from this adventure.
