Digital Health Asia 2025

City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) and the Institute of Digital Medicine (IDM) will play host to Digital Health Asia 2025 (DHA 2025) from 8 to 10 September, a groundbreaking event set to redefine the future of healthcare, bringing together leading academic researchers, industry innovators, and forward-thinking policymakers from around the globe.

Since its inception, the IDM has collaborated with renowned universities, medical schools, and clinical and industry partners worldwide to develop innovative long-term digital health solutions that benefit doctors and patients.

Speakers of this summit will include Professor Freddy Boey, President and University Distinguished Professor at CityUHK, and top CityUHK scholars and representatives from elite universities like the National University of Singapore, Stanford in the US, Cambridge in the UK, Tsinghua in Beijing, Sungkyunkwan in South Korea, and Northwestern in the US.

Industry leaders like Yidu Tech, Alibaba, pharmaceutical companies like AstraZeneca, and investment firms like DEFTA Partners and Marathon Venture Partners will also be present.

“Digital medicine is not just a technological evolution but a societal imperative, bridging engineering, data science, and clinical practice,” says President Boey.

This high-impact summit, organised in partnership with Times Higher Education (THE) and held at the CityUHK campus, will be a powerful platform for knowledge exchange and strategic collaboration.

“DHA 2025 is a critical step toward turning a vision for digital health into a reality across the region and beyond,” adds Mr Phil Baty, THE’s Chief Global Affairs Officer.

Under the theme “Collaborating on new technologies for better healthcare,” CityUHK is the first university in Asia to host an event under THE’s Digital Health series. The event will promote a shared mission to advance healthcare accessibility and precision.

“Attendees will engage in transformative discussions, spark innovative thinking, and forge partnerships to shape smarter health systems,” explains Ms Mei Mei Lim, THE’s President of the APAC region.

HK Tech 300, CityUHK’s flagship entrepreneurship programme, will also see supported digital health start-ups present at DHA 2025. This programme will drive the new generation of innovation by supporting young talents and promising projects.
