Staff party celebrates Year of the Rooster

Over 1,000 faculty and staff members got together on 8 February to celebrate the start of the Year of the Rooster at a special party organised by the Human Resources Office.

In addition to a scrumptious lunch buffet, faculty and staff members participated in a series of celebratory activities.

The programme included a traditional Chinese lion dance, a harmonica performance, a masked magic show and the ever-popular lucky draw.

Professor Way Kuo, University President, kicked off the event with a welcome note before he was joined by vice-presidents, deans and heads of units to wish everyone a prosperous New Year.

Professor Kuo provided one of the highlights of the party with his melodic rendition of two golden oldies before the end of the programme. One is named Forever Smile (永遠的微笑), expressing warm blessings to all CityU faculty and staff members.
