CityU promotes innovation and entrepreneurship education in mainland

The promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship education in tertiary institutions on the mainland was the focus of a symposium and training workshop organised by City University of Hong Kong (CityU) and held at Nanjing Audit University from 5 to 9 June.
The event was titled “Symposium and Train-the-Trainer Workshop for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education”, and it was the second time it had been held.
At the symposium Professor Cheng Shuk Han, Director of CityU’s Office of Education Development and Gateway Education, delivered a talk titled “Discovery-enriched Curriculum (DEC) at CityU”; and Dr Sun Hongyi, Associate Professor in CityU’s Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management, and two teachers from Nankai University hosted the workshop.
The participating 49 teachers from 29 universities across the mainland expressed their appreciation for CityU’s innovative platform for education. It was a fruitful activity that offered great help and inspiration to set up courses on innovation and entrepreneurship in the future, they said.
