Robot battles at CityU

Virtual robots built by more than 200 local secondary school students fought each other in the CityU-CS Robocode Contest 2011.

The students from 47 schools took part in the competition, which was organised by the Department of Computer Science (CS) for the second consecutive year. The students’ robots battled each other on a screen in a CS laboratory, deploying defensive and offensive strategies to win the contest.

The aim of the CityU-CS Robocode Contest is to help students learn more about and write computer programming. The winning team at the final on 19 November was from Lingnan Hang Yee Memorial Secondary School.
