CityU students represent Hong Kong at Universiade 2011

A total of 26 students from City University of Hong Kong (CityU) will represent Hong Kong, China in athletics, badminton, basketball, beach volleyball, fencing, table tennis, taekwondo and volleyball at the 26th Shenzhen Summer Universiade 2011 to be held from 12–23 August.

The athletes attended the flag presentation ceremony officiated by the Hon Mr Timothy Fok Tsun-ting, President of the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, on 10 August.

More than 100 students from universities and colleges will represent Hong Kong at the Universiade. CityU has the largest number of representatives. Mrs Dorothy Davies, Associate Head of Students Development Services, is the Deputy Head of the Hong Kong, China delegation. Five other CityU staff joined as team managers and coaches.
