City University of Hong Kong (CityU) has promoted and engaged in applied research by encouraging faculty members to respond to the needs of society and contribute to its well-being. In order to attract the interest of the public and industry, CityU is showcasing nine applied research projects at the International ICT Expo 2009. The expo runs from 13 to 16 April in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The nine innovative projects exhibit technologies developed by CityU’s researchers on networking, wireless communications, telecommunications, enterprise solutions, multimedia and information technology security. The International ICT Expo is a professional trade fair organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, which presents state-of-the-art software solutions and services to the industry.
