CityU is showcasing its strength in teaching and research at the Education and Careers Expo 2002, currently on display at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre until February 24.

Under the Higher Education for the Future theme, CityU is joining hands with seven other government- funded institutions to provide the latest information on degree, sub-degree and postgraduate programmes.

Apart from staging panel illustrations, printed materials, videos and multi-media presentations at a display booth, CityU faculty members from the departments of Chinese, Translation and Linguistics, Applied Social Studies, and Public and Social Administration will also present three seminars on admission particulars and career prospects on the last day of the exhibition.

Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Labour Department, the exhibition aims to inform the public on the development of local higher education. Among the highlights are statistics on resources allocation from government, institutional outstanding achievements, development of scientific research and employers' overall evaluation of the performance of local university graduates.
