匈牙利外交與對外經濟部部長Péter Szijjártó先生於9月13日在城大主持傑出講座，內容重點圍繞匈牙利在高度複雜地緣政治壓力下，所面對的實體安全與經濟安全顧慮。
城大無線通訊研究中心獲香港實驗所認可計劃認證，成為亞太區首間獲認可提供天線校正服務的非官方實驗室，反映該中心在這方面的技術處於領先地位。
2006年哲學博士畢業生黃衡博士憑其論文 「由平面偶極及短路貼片構成的定向天線」在亞太微波會議上奪得最佳學生論文大獎。
