President Kuo, Professor Horace Ip Ho-shing, Vice-President (Student Affairs), Dr Ron Kwok Chi-wai, Dean of Students, and Dr Wong Chi-tim, Director of Student Development Services, visited the stalls of the SU clubs and societies to meet the committee members and newcomers during the registration period on 9 August.

In addition, over 300 new students were welcomed by President Kuo at the kick-off ceremony for the SU orientation camp on 19 August. Professor Ip and Dr Kwok also attended the ceremony.

In his welcoming address, President Kuo mentioned the recent naming of the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences, which shares new beginnings with the students. He wished the newcomers all the best in CityU.

This year’s orientation camp was held from 19 to 21 August at Po Leung Kuk Pak Tam Chung Holiday Camp in Sai Kung. New students got to make new friends and know about life at CityU through a variety of group activities.
