A delegation led by Professor Way Kuo, President of City University of Hong Kong (CityU), visited Arizona State University (ASU) to strengthen collaborative relationship.

Professor Michael Crow, President of ASU, met with the delegation on 25 January. Discussions covered new collaborative opportunities, especially on sustainability.

ASU is ranked #1 on the "Most Innovative Schools" list published by U.S. News & World Report in 2016, putting it in the company of elite schools such as Stanford University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

CityU’s delegation included Professor Peter Brimblecombe, Associate Dean of the School of Energy and Environment and Chair Professor of Environmental Chemistry, and Professor Sun Dong, Head of the Department of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering and Chair Professor of Biomedical Engineering.

The delegation also held a reception on the same evening for the search for top faculty talent in Tempe, Arizona. Professor Kuo took this opportunity to introduce to some 40 scholars, university professors and PhD students opportunities for faculty positions and research collaboration at CityU, and thereby shared with them CityU’s vision for the future.

The CityU delegation held extensive discussions with the audience regarding CityU’s various academic programmes, the future development of its colleges and schools, and strategic goals for internationalisation.
