China Association for Science and Technology delegation visited CityU

Eight delegates from the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) accompanied by Beijing-Hong Kong Academic Exchange Centre learned more about developments in science research at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) during a visit which included a tour of the State Key Laboratory of Millimeter Waves on 28 November.
 
Among the delegates were Mr Chen Jian, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Affairs of CAST; Ir Zhang Juen, Specialised Member of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China Science and Technology Committee and Senior Engineer (Former Director, Science and Technology Department, Aviation Industry Corporation of China); and Professor Li Jiancheng, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Dean of the School of Geodesy and Geomatics, Wuhan University, among others.
 
Delegates from the Beijing-Hong Kong Academic Exchange Centre included Mr Kwok Ming-wah, Vice-President; and Dr Zou Chonghua, Divisional Head, Academic and Training.
 
The delegates met with Professor Way Kuo, University President; Professor Lu Jian, Vice-President (Research and Technology); Dr David Cheng Xing, Associate Vice-President for Mainland and External Affairs; Professor Yan Houmin, Dean of the College of Business; Professor Robert Li Kwok-yiu, Acting Dean of the College of Science and Engineering; and Professor Chan Chi-hou, Director of the State Key Laboratory of Millimeter Waves.
 
After the meeting, the delegation visited the State Key Laboratory of Millimeter Waves in Academic 3 for a tour of the facilities for research on millimeter-wave and terahertz technologies.
