Nearly 800 secondary school students and their parents learned more about the Discovery-enriched Curriculum and innovative learning opportunities at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) thanks to campus tours and talks organised by the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS) at the end of June.
Professor Dennis Wong Sing-wing, Associate Dean of CLASS, introduced CityU and the majors on offer. He explained the college-based admission system and the admission requirements. Graduates from CLASS shared their overseas exchange and internship experiences, helping parents to understand the curriculum and the diversity of the CityU learning opportunities.
In addition, Form 6 students who had applied to CLASS were invited to campus to learn more about the state-of-the art teaching and research facilities and student hostels.
These promotional events have received an overwhelming response from parents and students, who raised many questions about admission requirements and learning opportunities at CityU during the tours and talks.
