The Alumni Relations Office teamed up with the Convocation and the Students’ Union (SU) of City University of Hong Kong (CityU) to organise the “Reunion for Ex-SU Leaders” on 17 July at the Student Residence Hall. Some 100 participants joined the event, including former SU presidents and leaders, members of the Convocation Standing Committee, members of the current SU Executive Committee and other distinguished guests. The attendees had a fun-filled afternoon swapping stories about their experiences at CityU while enjoying refreshments and games.

Professor Way Kuo, University President, gave a welcome remark to the participants during the event on CityU’s latest achievements. Other University guests joining the blissful reunion included Professor Roderick Wong Sue-cheun, Vice-President (Development and External Relations); Ms Kathy Chan Yin-ling, Associate Vice-President (Alumni Relations); Mr Joseph Chan Kai-nin, Director of Student Development Services; Ms Karmen Chan, Convocation Chairman; and Mr Chan Tin-yau, current President of Students' Union. Also taking a walk down memory lane with the alumni were Professor Edmond Ko, former Vice-President (Undergraduate Education) and Dean of Students, and Professor L K Chan, University Emeritus Professor and former Dean of Students.

Ties were further strengthened during the “Alumni Summer Camp” hosted by the Convocation over the same weekend. The highlight of the event was a pun choi dinner, a traditional Hakka dish that translates as Big Bowl Feast.
