Over 50 City University of Hong Kong Press titles covering a wide range of fields in the humanities, business, law, social sciences, and science and technology are now on display at the 13th Hong Kong Book Fair.
"This is the fourth consecutive year we've taken part in this important and popular annual event. The fair is a good opportunity for us to extend the intellectual resources of the University by distributing works of scholarship. Our booth is very well received, " said
Mr Edmund Chan, Executive Officer of the Press. CityU Press recently participated at the Beijing Book Fair, the largest fair of its kind on the Chinese mainland.
All books on display by CityU Press will be offered on special discounts. The book fair, which runs from 17-22 July, is the largest of its kind in Hong Kong. Held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, the fair is expected to draw some 350,000 visitors.
Organized by the Trade Development Council, the book fair will feature a great variety of activities, including the Asian Publishing Conference, Renowned Author Seminar, and New Books Commentary.
CityU's booth (No. 1H36-38) will attract attention through its strategic location at the University Square in Exhibition Hall 1. The University Square is specially allocated for university presses with the aim of promoting scholarly publishing. City University of Hong Kong Press has joined forces with
Cambridge University Press,
Oxford University Press,
Hong Kong University Press and the
Chinese University of Hong Kong Press to help boost their presence at the fair.
