CityU President welcomes freshmen to CityU

Professor Way Kuo, President of City University of Hong Kong (CityU), extended a warm welcome to around 340 freshmen at an orientation camp held at Po Leung Kuk Pak Tam Chung Holiday Camp in Sai Kung from 11-13 August.

During the camp, Professor Kuo encouraged the new students to study hard and make friends, and then later had breakfast with them.

The theme of this year’s camp, which was organised by the Students’ Union, was “Enter CityU Years”. It carried the message that new students joining CityU should develop independent, analytical and critical thinking skills, and that their seniors will be there to mentor them throughout their journey.
