The CityU Career Festival 2017, organised by the Career and Leadership Centre of City university of Hong Kong (CityU) between 30 October and 3 November, aimed at helping students prepare well for their future careers, and provide them with the valuable opportunity to connect with employers and industry practitioners.

Professor Horace Ip Ho-shing, Vice-President (Student Affairs); Mr Sunny Lee Wai-kwong, Vice-President (Administration); Dr Ron Kwok Chi-wai, Dean of Students; Dr Tim Wong Chi-tim, Director of Student Development Services; Ms Mary Ma, Manager of the Brand and Content Marketing of cpjobs.com; Ms Diane Chan, Executive Director of CTgood jobs; and Ms Garfield Chan, General Manager of Recruit & Company Limited, officiated at the opening ceremony on 1 November.

The special features of the event included career preparation seminars, recruitment talks, CV clinics, on-site CV collection and job application, and a job expo.

The two-day expo attracted 87 reputable companies, including Gammon Construction Limited, Goodwell Property Management Limited, Hang Seng Bank, Hong Kong Disneyland, Hongkong International Terminals Limited, PCCW Limited, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Swire Properties Limited, and The Hong Kong Jockey Club.
