Around 800 overseas, mainland and Hong Kong students, residence masters, staff and alumni attended the Joint Hall Dinner held at the Student Residence of City University of Hong Kong (CityU) on 22 February. The dinner was truly a grand occasion with 65 tables in total. The theme of this year’s dinner was One City One Village, with the aim of providing an opportunity for all the residents from different halls and countries to dine together, share their culture and develop a sense of unity.

Among the attendees were Professor Way Kuo, CityU President; Professor Paul Lam Kwan-sing, Vice-President (Student Affairs); Dr Cheung Chor-yung, Dean of Students; and Mr Andrew Fan Ka-fai, Council member of the University.

The organisers, including all Residents’ Associations and the Student Residence Office, arranged a variety of programmes for the night, such as a lucky draw, quiz and talent show. A famous local band, Supper Moment, was invited as the guest performer. For everyone who attended, the Dinner was a rich and engaging experience they would long remember.
