CityU research shines at mainland technology fair

Five research projects developed by faculty at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) have won Excellent Product Awards at the 14th China Hi-Tech Fair. In addition, CityU was awarded the Excellent Pavillion Award and the Excellent Organiser Award.
 
The projects that won Excellent Product Awards were:
l   The study of removal efficiency and biodegradation pathway of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) by Benthic algae in mangrove
l   Transparent white OLED (organic light emitting diode) for lighting
l   High density printed flash memories on plastic
l   An apparatus for reducing DC-link capacitance
l   LED replacement lamp driver with universal compatibility
 

CityU’s Knowledge Transfer Office and the CityU Shenzhen Research Institute collaborated to showcase more than 20 research projects at the Fair, which was held from 16 to 21 November. The largest annual technology show on the mainland, the Fair attracted close to 3,000 exhibitors from 67 countries and regions this year, providing ample exposure for CityU’s innovative research strengths.
