CityU receives US$200,000 donation from SAP

City University of Hong Kong (CityU) has recently received a donation of US$200,000 from SAP, the market leader in enterprise application software, to support research in the area of collaborative commerce that will test and extend various models, methods, and techniques of electronic commerce involving large amounts of data.

The research will be carried out under the directorship of Professor J Leon Zhao, Head and Chair Professor in CityU’s Department of Information Systems, in the Lab of Enterprise Process Innovation and Computing, which is part of the Information and Communication Technology Center located in CityU Shenzhen Research Institute under the direction of Professor Xue Quan in CityU’s Department of Electronic Engineering and Associate Vice-President (Innovation Advancement and China Office). The results of the research will be beneficial to the advancement of education and research in electronic commerce for both SAP and CityU.
