Outstanding teachers

 

Since 1994, the University has promoted excellence in teaching by recognizing and

rewarding distinguished teachers with the Teaching Excellence Award. The winners have their names added to a permanently displayed register. Four awards (below, from left) were presented this year:  

Dr Alexandar Djordjevich, Associate Professor, Department of Manufacturing Engineering and Engineering Management, who emphasizes the importance of inspiring students to think for themselves and helps them to master the skills of critical thinking and problem solving;

 Dr Rodney Jones, Lecturer, Department of English and Communication, who impresses on students the relevance of the theories and concepts they are learning to their daily lives;

 


Dr John Leung, Associate Professor, Department of Marketing, who focuses not only n the academic aspects of management sciences, but on the entire personal development of his students; and

Dr Moez Limayem, Associate Professor, Department of Information Systems, who uses an array of well-honed pedagogical skills to provide his students with up-to-date knowledge in a variety of subject areas.
