Students admitted to the normative 4-year degree will be allocated a specific major programme offered by the department after one year of study.
For students admitted in Semester A, the top 40% of students will have a free choice of majors offered by the Department according to the following criteria:

Two College foundation courses, one from the group of liberal arts studies and one from the group of social sciences studies.

(i) COM2105 Visual Communication (3 credit units)
(ii) COM2118 Media and Society (3 credit units)
The other 60% of students will be allocated a major of their choice, subject to the availability of places and the following selection criteria.
