Ph.D. Information Session 2025

On October 30, 2025, the Department of Media and Communication (COM) at City University of Hong Kong organized an information session on Ph.D. Studies in Media and Communication. Prof. Ye Sun, the Acting Research Degree Coordinator, provided a comprehensive overview of the program structure and discussed potential career paths after graduation. Additionally, she explained the entrance requirements and the application procedure for students applying for the 2026/27 academic year.

Ms. Yuetong Wu, a first-year Ph.D. student and recipient of the Hong Kong Ph.D. Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS), shared her experiences in preparing for the Ph.D. application process. Her insights provided valuable details about the program for prospective Ph.D. students.

The session attracted around 50 participants who attended both in person and through a hybrid format. Attendees actively engaged by asking insightful questions, helping to deepen understanding of the Ph.D. program.
