A research proposal by Professor Kenneth Leung, Associate Dean (Outreach and Internationalisation) of CSCI, has been funded by the Research Impact Fund 2025/26.

City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) excelled at the 5th Asia Exhibition of Innovations & Inventories Hong Kong (AEII). Among the winning teams, five involved research talents from the College of Science (CSCI).

CityUHK has performed remarkably well in science subjects in the 2025 global rankings. Four science subjects, Materials Science, Physical Chemistry, Nanoscience & Nanotechnology and Condensed Matter Physics, break into the Top 10 globally in the subject ranking of the U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities Rankings.

The College of Science cares about students’ career prospects and proudly hosted the first Career Talk by the Education Bureau (EDB) for students on 28 November.

A group of 24 enthusiastic undergraduates from the College of Science recently participated in the STEM Education Student Teaching Scheme.

Professor Junzhang Ma, Associate Professor from the Department of Physics, has been awarded the 2025 Chen Ning Yang Award in recognition of his groundbreaking achievements in discovering and characterising multiple emergent quasiparticles across diverse crystalline systems.
