The Career Fair 2023 was jointly organized by the College of Engineering and College of Science at CityU on 17 February 2023.
Professor Kenneth Lo, Professor of Department of Chemistry and Director of the Talent and Education Development Office, who won the College Teaching Excellence Award last year, has just received the University’s Teaching Excellence Awards (TEAs) for “A Good Teacher is Like a Catalyst That Assists in Transforming Students into Self-Motivated Lifelong Learners”.
Co-organised by the College of Science and the Office of the Provost, the CityU Science Patent Challenge 2022 has attracted talented young inventors from secondary schools to propose creative and feasible ways to solve real life problems. It came to the climax of the Final Pitch on 18 February.
The College of Science co-organised the first lecture of the "Distinguished Lecture Series on Applications of Mathematics in STEAM World"; with the Education Bureau (EDB) on 10 February 2023 and Professor Chi Hou Chan, Acting Provost and Director of State Key Laboratory of Terahertz and Millimeter Waves, was invited to deliver the lecture on "Wireless Technology". About 400 secondary school principals, teachers and students attended the lecture on CityU campus.
Programme delegates met with prospective students for the College’s taught postgraduate programmes online, at a live information session held on 11 January 2023.
Dr. Denver Li and Dr. Junzhang Ma, Assistant Professors of the Department of Physics, have been awarded the Collaborative Research Equipment Grant, under the Collaborative Research Fund (CRF) 2022/23.
