CityUHK COM Achieves Top 3 in ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2026

The Department of Media and Communication (COM) at the City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) has maintained its high rankings in the Communication field for a second consecutive year, according to the ShanghaiRanking Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2026 by the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), which was announced last week.

COM achieved an impressive 34th position in global rankings, along with 3rd in Asia and 2nd in Hong Kong. The achievement represents both the academic contribution and research excellence of the past years.
