COM Orientation Session 2026

We are delighted to welcome all the new members to the COM Family! 

At the start of the 2026/27 academic year, the Department of Media and Communication (COM) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) held Orientation Sessions to welcome new postgraduate and undergraduate students. Competition was fierce to secure a coveted spot in these high-ranking programmes. COM has high expectations for this year’s class, and we are excited to see what these talented students will accomplish.

As one of the top ten Asian universities in Communication and Media Studies, our COM faculty members and lecturers are committed to maintaining high teaching standards. They also strive to provide diverse student activities, which are organized by the department, alumni, and student groups. These initiatives are designed to widen student perspectives and help them explore their interests in the media field.

During these sessions, faculty members introduced students to the latest program structure and outbound exchange opportunities. Students also heard from distinguished alumni about their experiences at COM.
