Lecture Series on Media Leadership and Innovation: Prof. Dorian Ho Shares Insights on Personal Image Enhancement

On 24th April 2026, the Department of Media and Communication (COM) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) successfully concluded the third session of its “Media Leadership and Innovation Lecture Series: COM with Me." The event featured renowned fashion designer and adjunct professor, Prof. Dorian Ho, along with esteemed guests Ms. Juliette Louie and Ms. Karen Yiu, to deliver the topic “Enhance Yourself Inside and Out: Personal Image Transformation.”





Approximately 80 participants attended the event, during which Prof. Ho underscored the significance of maintaining a polished and professional appearance for various occasions. He shared practical advice on selecting appropriate attire for formal meetings, job interviews, and workplace settings, emphasizing how such choices can enhance self-confidence and leave a positive impression in job career.



To provide a holistic perspective on personal image development, Prof. Ho invited etiquette consultant Ms. Juliette Louie, Champion of Miss Hong Kong Pageant 2017 to share her expertise. Ms. Louie highlighted the importance of maintaining a positive mindset when facing challenges and encouraged participants to engage in meaningful interactions to establish their presence effectively.





Additionally, Makeup Artist Ms. Karen Yiu demonstrated essential makeup tips and techniques aimed at helping individuals achieve a natural, confident look suitable for any occasion. 

This engaging lecture emphasized personal growth, confidence, and self-expression, leaving attendees inspired to transform their inner and outer selves for greater success in both personal and professional spheres.
