Delegation Visit by Boston University

On April 23, 2026, Professor Sung-Un Yang, Chair and Professor of the Department of Mass Communication, Advertising, and Public Relations at Boston University, visited the Department of Media and Communication (COM) at the City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK).







The visit began with a meeting organized by the COM faculty members, where Professor Yang engaged in discussions with key attendees, including Professor Yi-Hui Christine Huang (Head and Chair Professor), Chair Professor Shuhua Zhou, Associate Professors Crystal Jiang and Edmund Lee, and Assistant Professor Vincent Wang. The central topic of the discussion focused on strengthening collaboration between the two institutions, particularly in the area of postgraduate studies.



Following the meeting, Professor Yang was given a guided tour of the department’s state-of-the-art facilities to gain insight into the learning environment at CityUHK. Highlights of the tour included visits to the Omnimedia Digital Newsroom, the 3-D Virtual TV Studio, the Advertising Design & Shooting Studio, and the Digital Broadcasting Recording Room.
