Delegation Visit by Beijing Normal University

On 20 March 2026, the Department of Media and Communication (COM) at City University of Hong Kong is thrilled to host a visit programme for Prof Hongzhong Zhang, Dean of the School of Journalism and Communication at Beijing Normal University.







During his visit, the COM faculty engaged in a productive meeting with Prof. Zhang, where both parties explored opportunities for collaboration. Discussions centered on the potential implementation of student exchange programmes for undergraduate and postgraduate candidates, along with key aspects of media research and the integration of technology in media studies. Representing COM in the meeting were five esteemed faculty members: Prof. Yi-Hui Christine Huang, Head and Chair Professor; Prof. Chris Shen, Associate Head and Professor; Associate Professor Nancy Dai; Guanxiong Huang; and Assistant Professor Vincent Wang.



To provide Prof. Zhang with a comprehensive understanding of CityUHK COM, he was given a tour of the department’s cutting-edge facilities, including the Omnimedia Digital Newsroom, the 3-D Virtual TV Studio, the Advertising Design & Shooting Studio, and the Digital Broadcasting Recording Room.
