Delegation Visit by Chengchi University

On 17 March 2026, Prof. Yi-Ning Katherine Chen, Distinguished Professor of Communication and Vice President for International Cooperation at Chengchi University, visited the Department of Media and Communication (COM) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK).







During the visit, Prof. Chen participated in an academic meeting with COM faculty members, including Prof. Yi-Hui Christine Huang, Head and Chair Professor; Associate Head and Professor Chris Fei Shen; Prof. Li Crystal Jiang, Associate Professor; and Adjunct Professor Shirley Chong, who also serves as the Director of the Communications and Institutional Research Office at CityUHK. The discussion focused on potential collaborations in student exchange programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as opportunities for joint research initiatives.





To gain deeper insights into the department, Prof. Chen was given a guided tour of its state-of-the-art facilities. The tour included visits to the Omnimedia Digital Newsroom, 3D Virtual TV Studio, Advertising Design & Shooting Studio, and Digital Broadcasting Recording Room.
