Editorial Leadership of COM Faculty in Top-Tier Academic Journals

Beyond pursuing academic excellence in media and communication, the faculty of the Department of Media and Communication (COM) at City University of Hong Kong actively contribute to professional services, particularly as serving on editorial board for international journals in their field.

Currently, nine of our full-time faculty members are engaged in editorial leadership roles with renowned journals that focus on topics across communication, health, internet, and computer science. Notably, some of these journals are ranked in the top 25% (Quartile 1) on Scopus/SSCI (Social Sciences Citation Index), signifying their significant influence and frequent citation within the academic community. Prominent journals like Human Communication Research, Communication Methods & Measures, and Internet Research, amongst many others, stand out as examples, reflecting the exceptional expertise and global recognition of our accomplished professors.
