Delegation Visit by University of British Columbia

On November 24, 2025, Prof. Bryce Traister, Dean of the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies from the University of British Columbia (UBC) visited the Department of Media and Communication (COM) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK).







To establish an academic partnership, Prof. Traister and the COM faculty representatives have discussed an initial collaboration plan for the undergraduate students. Attendees from COM included Chair Professor and Head Yi-Hui Christine Huang, Professor and Associate Head Chris Fei Shen and Chair Professor Shuhua Zhou.

Following the meeting, Professor Traister toured COM’s facilities to gain a better sunderstanding of the students’ actual learning environment, such as Omnimedia Digital Newsroom, 3-D Virtual TV Studio, Advertising Design & Shooting Studio, and Digital Broadcasting Control Room.
