Debut at the National Games: COM Elite Fencer Lau Yee Ching Clinches 6th in Women’s Sabre Team Event

Lau Yee Ching (center) made her debut in the 15th National Games.
Lau Yee Ching (Chloe), a student from the Department of Media and Communication (COM) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK), who have represented the Hong Kong Fencing Team for the 15th National Games. As the No.6 seed in the elimination round, Chloe and her women’s sabre teammates clinched a 6th place after defeating the Beijing Team in the ranking competition.
As this was her first time representing the Hong Kong team in a multi-sport event, Chloe shared, "It’s definitely a memorable moment for me to participate in such national events, especially playing in front of a Hong Kong audience. Although the sixth place was not the result we had hoped for, we will embrace these valuable experiences to improve. Thank you for everyone’s support!"
