COM Faculty Engage in Roundtable Discussion on AI’s Impact at QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2025

On 6 November 2025, faculty members from the Department of Media and Communication (COM) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK), including Head and Chair Professor Yi-Hui Christine HUANG and Associate Professor Edmund Wei Jian LEE, participated in a roundtable session hosted by COM at the QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2025 held at Korea University in Seoul.
Under the theme “How AI is Transforming Communication and Society,” Prof HUANG opened the session with welcoming remarks, offering insights into the trends and developments of AI's impact on communication. The session convened leading scholars, including Prof Se-Hoon Jeong from Korea University, Prof Jeong-Nam Kim from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Dr Jiyoung Lee from Sungkyunkwan University, and Prof Namkee Park from Yonsei University to explore how AI had been influencing communication research and driving social transformation.
